Imo Governor mourn State House Catholic Chaplain

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has described the death of Rev. Msgr. Raph Madu as a big loss to the State.

The Governor said It is a sad one for him, the Government of Imo State, the Catholic community and particularly, the Owerri Catholic Archdiocese.

Until his death, Rev. Msgr. Madu was the Imo State Government House Chaplain. And before that, he was the immediate past Secretary General of the Catholic Secretariat, Abuja.

Recall that last year, late Rev. Fr. Madu celebrated his 37th year ordination anniversary and dedicated service in God's vineyard.

"He was a thoroughbred clergy. His fidelity to God's work was unflinching. He lived his life drawing people to God and enriching our minds with the gospel of Christ." He said.

I will miss him sorely.

I enjoin us all to pray for the repose of his soul.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
