In his address, the Honourable Commissioner for Lands, Enyinnaya Onuegbu, revealed that the spilbat mansion of former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha,is in the list of properties that will be recovered.
According to him, Okorocha before he became Governor had only acquired 8 hectares of land in spilbat, but however forcefully collected 42 hectares of land from people of Umuodu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA immediately he assumed office as Governor of Imo State.
He further said that the white paper report by the panel of inquiry indicted Okorocha as one who converted Area B New Owerri layout reserved as Imo State Government House permanent site to residential areas for his family and friends.
