The Director General, Imo State Consumer Protection Council, Hon. Mrs Obioma Okafor has called on Imolites to be conscious of what they consume during this Easter season, by checking the Manufacturering date, expiration date and the NAFDAC registration number of every products before they purchase or even consume.
Mrs Okafor, in her Easter message on Friday, said "Easter exemplifies the sacrifice that Jesus paid to save mankind", urging Imolites to take into consideration the lives and safety of others as they celebrate Easter.
The DG also called on the people of the state to re-dedicate themselves to the service of God and mankind as they reflect on the ideals of Easter.
Mrs Obioma urged Imolites to also use the occasion to intensify prayers for the success of the Shared Prosperity Government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma in the state. "I wish the good people of Imo State Happy Easter Celebrations, I can assure you that the newly repositioned Imo CPC under the able leadership of our dogged governor, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma is ever committed to ensure adequate Protection of Consumers Rights in the state.
However, Mrs Okafor urged the people of the state to continue to observe all the Covid-19 preventive measures.
