Ebubeagu has finally become a reality response to the insecurity in our dear state and indeed the entire Igbo nation. Like the Hon. Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji would always say: "The Majesty of an Empire is the safety of its protection". Ebubeagu means; the glory of a tiger. The security outfit is a dual child of necessity and of circumstance.
Recall that Ebubeagu was conceived at the security summit of Governors of the Southeast geopolitical zone held at the lion house, Enugu with our dear Governor, presiding as Chairman of Southeast Governors' Forum. It is the child of their brain and the product of their security genius as Chief Security Officers in their various states.
We thank Governor Umahi for making Ebubeagu a reality by inaugurating the Ebonyi State Chapter of the Security Outfit thereby ensuring that the current security challenges in our domain were matched with immediate patriotic commitment in this laudable direction.
We therefore challenge opposition elements who disparage Ebubeagu with derogatory nomenclatures on the social media to come up with their own panacea to the incessant invasions, arson and destruction of lives and property in Igboland. As opposition party members, if they had no idea on the appropriate approach at tackling insecurity in the domain they too inhabit, they should simply shut up instead of ridiculing government solution and exposing their idiocy and stupidity to the world.
Again, except the opposition derogaters of Ebubeagu are directly telling the world that they have a hand in this carnage we see today in the Southeast by their gleeful attitude; why would they be so opprobrious of the government for forming Ebubeagu to checkmate security breaches in the Southeast and be so jubilant of mayhem, meaning that they are happy with the arson, destructions and killings of innocent people who are also their brothers; otherwise why are they not comfortable with Ebubeagu? Something is certainly fishy and at the end the wind shall blow and we shall all see the anus of the fowl.
Nonetheless, we (Ebonyians) shall continue to support Governor Umahi on his stand against insecurity in Ebonyi State and indeed the entire Southeast geopolitical zone no matter whose ox is gored! Those who feel it is not their business because they are members of PDP will be put to shame because this insecurity we see today; we shall not see tomorrow. With time, the situation will fizzle out and detractors will hide their heads in the sand like the ostrich.
May God bless Governor Umahi for all his efforts towards combating insecurity in Ebonyi State and the entire Igbo nation; and for giving succour to the bereaved families of victims of the attacks in Ebonyi State.
