.....inaugurates Shared Prosperity Ambassadors
The on-going Imo State Shared Prosperity sensitization LGA Tour through the office of the Special Adviser on Political Matters, gathers momentum, political leaders and Good people of Ideato South Local Government Area have expressed gratitude to the administration of Senator Hope Uzodinma for nassive infrastructural developments in the state.
The leaders in Ideato South gave thanks on Wednesday 7th April 2021, during the visit of S.A Political, Chief (Dr.) Batos Nwadike and his entourage to Ideato South as part of the on-going shared prosperity tour of the 27 LGAs of Imo State to acquaint the grassroots with the policies and programs of His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodinma administration anchored on 3R mantra of Recovery, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation.
Addressing the good people and leaders of Ideato South at the council headquarters, Dikenafai,the S.A on Political Matters, Dr Batos Nwadike who represented Governor Uzodinma, said the Governor was grateful to Ideato South people for their supports and prayers for his administration.
Special Adviser on Political Matters emphasized on the reconstruction efforts of Governor Uzodinma so far, disclosed that Governor has embarked on the construction of 54- kilometer Owerri-Okigwe Road and 34- kilometers Owerri-Orlu Road as well as completed and commissioned roads like University Teaching Hospital Road Orlu, Relief Market Road,Owerri, Federal Secretariat Road; dualised Owerri-PortHarcourt Road, Dick Tiger roads among many other projects ongoing or already completed like Akachi roads.
He urged Ideato South people to queue into the Shared Prosperity administration anchored on 3R agenda as the Governor holds the Ideato South LGA dear to his heart. He said 4,000 Imo youths will soon receive empowerment from the state government with more development projects coming to the area. He further urged them to stand firm with the All Progressives Congress, APC ably led by His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko).
On recovery of stolen Imo assets, He assured Ideato South people that Uzodimma administration would not relent in it's efforts to recover Imo properties as they did in recovering Eastern Palm University now called Kenneth Ozurumba Mbadiwe University.
Chief Victor Nwanaforo who a leader and great son of Ideato South said the previous administration drew Imo backward but assured that Governor Uzodinma is determined to correct all those anomalies. He therefore called on the people of the area to support the Governor at all times and disregard the propaganda of the opposition which he noted; were tainted with outright lies.
The Apex leader of Ideato South Chief Humphry Ikeaka urged the people of the Council to queue behind the administration of Governor Uzodinma so as to benefit from the numerous empowerment programs of the government.
Pastor Bede Ikeaka, the Council's Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairman expressed gratitude to the Special Adviser on Political matters and his team for their wonderful messages of hope and the Governor's mission and vision in strict adherence to good and purposeful transformations.
IMC Chairman informed that the Governor has passion to selflessly work for the people while reemphasizing that the political leaders of the council area are in one page and very much loyal to the Shared Prosperity anchored on 3R Agenda.
The highpoint of the Prosperity Tour was the inauguration of the Interim Management Committee, IMC , Chairman , Hon. Pastor Bede Ikeaka as leader of Shared Prosperity Ambassadors earlier in his office by the S.A on Political Matters.
The event witnessed the inauguration of shared prosperity ambassadors for the LGA which include Chief Ebere Uzozie, Hon Asika Nnawuihe, Hon. Promise Ajiero, Chief Ichie Azodo Vitalis, Chief Victor Nwanaforo(Coordinator), Hon Kingsly Anege, Hon Donald Egonokwu, Hon Christian Onwuegbu, Hon Ezeahurukwe Moses, Barr. Teddy Akwari, Hon. Ndubueze muoneke, Hon. Emeka Mega Okpara.
SA Political charged the inaugurated Ambassadors to work hard and be the eye of the Governor in the wards and LGA.
