In a bid to continue to open up and diversify the Imo state economy, Governor Hope Uzodimma has continued to leverage opportunities provided by the federal government and other multinational agencies.
Today the Government has signed an MoU with NLDA on the provision of Agricultural platforms and projects in Imo State.
The National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) management and delegates were led by Prince Paul Ikonne, MD/CEO NLDA.
His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma commended President Muhammadu Buhari for rolling out the Agro program for the supply of food security and gainful employment Imo youths.
Governor Uzodimma speaking further disclosed that the Agro projects will help revamp all the abandoned Agro projects and allied industries through the Pilot program of NLDA.
Governor Uzodimma further gave assurances of his support to ensure the smooth completion of the projects.
He also urged NLDA to go beyond livestock and into other Agro projects as the Imo state Government has more plans to providing food security beyond Imo State and export Food products from the Imo Cargo Airport.
Speaking earlier, the CEO of NLDA, Prince Paul Ikonne, commended the Governor for having Imo State at heart by supporting NLDA projects.
“We are in the era of farming and NLDA is providing the platform. The MoU signed will empower over 4000 Imo youths and “we are just giving Imolites direction to make money” Prince Ikonne stated.
