The Imo State Government has concluded processes for the construction of 23 river crossings across rural communities in the state.
The projects are designed to improve transport conditions and access in the selected communities.
The constructions will also involve spot improvement of the access roads leading to the 23 river crossings and will involve side drains, concrete culverts and lateritic base.
In an interaction with the State Projects Implementation Unit (SPIU) of the Rural Access Mobility Project, they disclosed that following the advertisements for procurement, the tender processes leading to selection of contractors has been concluded, and the projects will soon commence.
