Decentralization Of Imo Tax Offices

Arising from the ongoing restructuring at the Imo Internal Revenue Service, (IIRS) and with a desire to make tax payments and assessments easy and convenient in Imo State--

The IIRS has opened offices in all the 27 Local Government Headquarters in the State.

Tax payers can now enjoy the convenience of going to any tax office nearest to their location at all the Local Government Headquarters to pay their taxes and or access may other service(s) provided by the IIRS.

Please note that all activities that are obtainable at the Head Office of IIRS in Owerri can now be undertaken at the IIRS local government tax offices state-wide.

Such services include:-

• Motor Licensing ( Both renewal and fresh ones)

• Tenement Rates.

• Land Use Charges.

• Market Stall Rates.

• Withholding Tax.

• Property Rates.

• Stamp Duties.

• Consumption Tax.

• Signage /Advertising Fees.

• Permits.

• Capital Gains Tax.

• Lisense etc , are now payable and assessable at all Local Government Headquaters.
