"I think the Governor is somebody I have known for a reasonable period of time. He is somebody that wants to add value. It is my responsibility by virtue of this office to network the potentials of our people and align them with the programs and policies of the government.
"I am completely on the same page with His Excellency, who has deemed it necessary to get me on board. Mine is to critically analayse his sense of direction and try to anchor accordingly and add value and advice where necessary.
"We have to moderate the bureaucracy towards effectiveness in output and service delivery. The right people should be placed to perform. This is how you can create enabling environment for the private sector to come in.
"There is need for bureaucracy to be well tailored to understand the focus of the government, thereby making it easy for the people to partner with the government.
In otherwords, we need to remove bureaucratic bottlenecks, streamline taxation, access to land and the ease of doing business impediments.
"I have contacts who are ready to invest in Imo. I am reaching out to the business communities. I am inviting them to come and support the present government. Imo is now energized to do business. We are now going beyond a civil service state into a business and tourism hub.
"I have the ability, capability and capacity to mobilize people to come and invest. This government is determined to add value. The signals are there from what the government is doing in terms of infrastructure.
"People can trust my words, and I will make my potentials available to the people.
