As part of efforts to stimulate moribond Skills Acquisition Centres in Imo State, and reposition them for effective service delivery, the Commissioner for Entreprenuership and Skills Acquisition, Hon. Ikechukwu Umeh has commenced facility tour of Skills Acquisition Centres in the three senatorial zones of the state.

The Commissioner made the disclosure during his assessment tour of the Bureau for Poverty Allevation which is a parastatal under his ministry.

Hon. Umeh noted that the centres will serve for practical skills training and charged the management and staff of the bureau to gear up to their responsibilities of creating jobs for Imo women and youths.

The Poverty Alleviation Bureau was created in the year 2000 to reduce poverty by providing skills and empowering Imo people for self reliance and wealth creation.
