NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT OF ENROLMENT INTO THE IMO STATE HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME AT LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEVELS
The Governor Hope Uzodimma led administration in Imo State will on 16th April 2021 commence the enrolment of all eligible citizens into the Imo Health Insurance Scheme under the Basic Health Care Provision Fund ( BHCPF)
This scheme was recently flagged off in Owerri Municipal Council by His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
The following local governments will kickstart enrolment on the 16th April 2021.
▪ Owerri Municipal LGA.
▪ Nkwerre LGA.
▪ Oru East LGA.
▪ Ikeduru LGA.
*QUALIFICATION*
Those who are qualified for enrolment per INEC Ward are:-
• Poor & Vulnerable of 65 years and above.
• Women of Reproductive age who can’t afford health care
• Children under the age of 5 years
• People living with disabilities.
*REQUEST*
In a release by the Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Health Insurance Scheme, Hon. Princess Nkeiruka Okaofor-Ezumah (Nee Oluoha), the general public was asked to kindly nominate people who fall within this category in their local community / church / Ward / and LGA respectively.
