MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION: MOTHERS ARE CRITICAL TO SHAPING THE SOCIETY SAYS BARR. CHIOMA UZODIMMA, WIFE OF THE IMO STATE GOVERNOR

“In today's society, as always, mothers play very critical roles in

shaping the society, starting with their place in the family which is the

basic social unit. They are the heartbeat of the family and the nucleus

of every society.”

This is according to the wife of the Governor of Imo State, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma who was speaking at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral Parish Mother’s Day celebration.

Her Excellency, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma admonished mothers to continue to do more by moulding the right characters and imbibing the necessary virtues for the betterment of the society.

Quoting Napoleon Bonaparte, "Give me good mothers and I shall give you a great nation!, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma reaffirmed that the progress

of a people depends upon the way the mothers bring up their children.

Celebrating all mothers as precious gifts from the Almighty, the wife of the Governor, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma commended all mothers for the great work they do; urged everyone to celebrate her strength as often as possible.

The wife of the Governor urged mothers to emulate the blessed virgin Mary as a symbol of love and draw inspiration from her always.

She also used the occasion to commission the newly built Catholic Women Organization  CWO hall at the Assumpta Parish.
