The on-going Imo State Shared Prosperity sensitization LGA Tour through the office of the Special Adviser on Political Matters, gathers momentum, political leaders and good people of Orlu Local Government Area have expressed gratitude to Senator Hope Uzodinma and his administration and also pass a vote of confidence on the Governor and his administration .
Orlu LGA leaders and All Progressives Congress, APC, faithfuls traditional rulers, youth leaders and women leaders welcome the representative of the Governor who is the Special Adviser on Political Matters , Dr Batos Nwadike and his Prosperity team to the Council headquarters, for the ongoing Prosperity Tour of the 27 LGAs in Imo state on Thursday 16th April 2021.
The Indefatigable Special Adviser on Political Matters opined that the perennial flooding associated with the rainy season in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State has virtually became a thing of the past following the ongoing construction of a mega drainage system along Chukwuma Nwoha Road crossing Mbaise Road Owerri.
It is pertinent to note that the massive flooding that bedeviled residents of Owerri and its environs is now a thing of the past.
On pensions and salaries, the Special Adviser on Political noted that Sen Uzodinma administration has courageously implemented automated pensions and salaries payment system which he said, has gone a long way in eliminating what he described as monstrous corruption in the Imo State payroll system which the Governor met on assumption of office. He said anybody with complain about his salary or pension, knows the appropriate quarters to report to, instead of peddling unfounded rumours and propaganda to support opposition tendencies.
On Youth empowerment, He said 4,000 Imo youths will soon receive empowerment from the state government with more development projects coming to the area. He further urged them to stand firm with the All Progressives Congress, APC ably led by His Excellency Sen Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko).
Hon. Barr. IKenna Ihezuo urged the people of the Council to queue behind the administration of Governor Uzodinma so as to benefit from the numerous empowerment’s programs of the Governments and also together with all the traditional rulers, leaders and other great sons of Orlu LGA passed a vote of confidence on His Excellency Distinguished Sen Hope Uzodimma administration.
Chief Mrs Ifeoma Ndupu, the Council's Interim Management Committee (IMC) Chairman expressed gratitude to the Special Adviser on Political matters and his team for their wonderful messages of hope and the Governor's mission and vision in strict adherence to good and purposeful transformations.
IMC Chairman informed that the Governor has passion to selflessly work for the people of Imo State while reemphasizing that the political leaders of the council area are in one page and very much loyal to the Shared Prosperity anchored on 3R Agenda.
The event witnessed the inauguration of prosperity ambassadors for the LGA which include Rev. Ethel Maduakor, Chief Peter Nnabuife, Barr. IKenna Ihezuo, Engr. Solomon Nwaogaraku, Hon. prince Stanley Nwaosu, Chief Peter Okorie, Chief Aloysius Egbele, Hon Nwachukwu Igboayaka, Hon. Dan Akuakanwa, Chief Bartholomew Dike, Chief Richard T. Ekwebelem, Hon Dr Edwin Obi, Chief Emeto Uchenna, Hon. Nze Longinus Ogbuji, Engr Stephen Nwaugo, Chief Mike Igbokwe and Chief John Egeolu.
