The member representing Ikwo/ Ezza South Federal Constituency, Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah OON during the plenary today at the National Assembly, Complex moved a motion calling for the capturing of the newly employed staff of Federal Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education into Integrated Payroll and Personnel information system (IPPIS), to enable them get paid for two years now.
In his motion, he read,
"Thank you Mr Speaker and honorable colleagues. I am Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah OON, representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency. Mr Speaker, this motion calls on the Federal government to capture the staff recently employed into the federal Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education into IPPIS platform. The house should note that the staff who were employed at Nnamdi Azikiwe Federal University, Awka and University of Calabar respectively, for about one to two years now have not been paid their salary because they were not captured into Integrated Payroll and Personnel information system (IPPIS) platform. It was alleged that the directive that led to the non-capturing of the newly employed staff of those institutions was given by the Head of Service of the federation.
Desirous to get the newly employed personel captured on the IPPIS platform, I have resolved to urge the Head of Service of the Federation to allow all the remaining personnel to be captured on the IPPIS platform.
As well, I urge him to mandate the Committee on the tertiary education, services and public service matter to ensure compliance thereto, I hereby move".
Relatedly, the Rep. Member, Hon. Ogah has no doubt displayed uncommon love for the generality of Nigerians by stopping the illegal reduction of nurses salary by 3% and as they have commenced receiving full payment of their salaries.
Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah by his action has shown himself not just a representative of only Ikwo/ Ezza South Federal Constituency but that of the entire Nigerian state whose only joy resides in bettering the lots of the ordinary masses.
Some of the Nurses who bared their minds as regards the development described Comrade Ogah as a goal getter. They showed no reservation towards Comrade Oga's success in his newest venture.
