Akachi road is one of the critical road networks in the owerri state capital, it is an adjoining dual carriage road that connects Aba road to weltheral road, decongesting traffic towards Emmanuel College roundabout.
Akachi road before Gov. Hope Uzodimma came on board got dilapidated immediately after it's construction by the past administration .
Many then concluded that it was fertilizer that was poured on the road other than asphalt. We were all in this state when the then gov Owelle Rochas okorocha made claims that acidic rain virtually destroyed all the roads he built, this reconstructed akachi road by the 3R goverment was one them.
No matter any reservation nor sentiment anybody may attach to this road, the truth remains that no individuals owns a road rather goverment.
As at today akachi road has been solidly rebuilt inline with global best standard, not even acidic rain nor acidic commuters would make the road not serve out it's purpose and durability.
Be that as it may, this reconstructed road will now serve as alternative route to many destination and reduce the stress and delay experienced by those coming from Aba, Nekede, ihiagwa to connect weltheral with ease .
With this uncommon milestone, Gov. Hope Uzodimma has lived true to his name #Uzodimma (good road), never had imo witnessed this level of commitment and seriousness towards infrastructural development for so long a time.
The newly reconstructed akachi road will offer a better driving experience and moreso save time.
