THE COMMUNIQUE OF OWERRI ZONAL MEETING OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC)

1. APC Owerri Zone leaders thank the people of Owerri Zone for the impressive turn out at the reception of the governor by the people of Owerri Zone.

2. The meeting declared that the party is Supreme and that everyone should submit to the party leadership structure under the chairmanship of Engr. Paul Oparah with Prince Lemmy Akakem as the Zonal Apex Leader.

3. The meeting thanked the people of Owerri Zone for their impressive turnout in the ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise. The meeting further urged leaders and Interim Management Chairmen (IMC) of the nine local government areas in Owerri Zone to ensure the exercise penetrates and captures all the nooks and crannies of the zone to ensure success while our people resident in other states of the federation should return home and get registered in the party.

4. The ratified the appointment of Engr. Paul Oparah as the Zonal Chairman of party and the formal handover by Dr. Iyke Njoku and subsequent presentation to the state chairman of APC, Prince Marcelinus Nlemigbo.

5. The people of Owerri Zone thanked the Governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma for the appointment of over 300 sons and daughters of Owerri Zone into political positions in his administration. This, to us, is unprecedented because we feel as part and parcel of the government.

6. The people of Owerri Zone are not unmindful of the numerous completed and ongoing infrastructural projects that the governor has embarked on in Owerri Zone. The meeting also noted that such projects are unprecedented comparable only to the Sam Mbakwe golden years.

7. The people of Owerri Zone resolved to massively support the Senator Hope Uzodimma administration to continue in its people-oriented projects and programmes.

8. The people of Owerri Zone have also resolved to work in harmony and to build an all inclusive APC in the zone.
