Owerri federal Constituency leaders under the Guardianship of Prince Lemmy Akakem, Apex leader of APC in Owerri zone on Sunday 16/5/21, at boardroom of Imo Concorde Hotels resolved to work in peace and harmony. To spread the good news of "Hope" to the people of Owerri federal Constituency and to win more converts.
In his opening speech, the convener Prince Lemmy Akakem said he called for the meeting to enable members close ranks in a brotherly atmosphere because "united we stand and divided we fall"
In his remarks, Chief Henry Njoku Harritex said he was touched when the apex leader told him , if they were to invite all the Political appointees of this administration to the leaders meeting, the hall will not contain them, which is a clear indication that Uzodinma's administration has been generous enough to people of Owerri. He reaffirmed his solemn promise to work for peace and harmony. He reminded members that there is much work ahead given the fact that the Senate and house of representatives are from the area and yet belongs to another party.
Sir MacDonald Ebere GM, Entraco, appealed to those with an unforgiven spirit to endeavors to find peace to move the party forward.
In his contribution. Chief Tony Umezuruike (Aririerimba) said there is absolutely no need to overheat the Political space over struggle for the control of party structure, according to him there's only one governor who owns the party structure and takes the decisions.
Chief Mike Nwachukwu Mpidike, Chief Noble Atulegwu, Prof. Henry Njoku (Chief technical Adviser to the Governor), Hon. Dan Ikpeazu, Chief Gibson Achonwa (Oyiga), Hon. Paddy Obinna, Barr. Muruako, Chief Mrs Anne Dozie and Chief Fidel Onyeneke all pay glowing tribute to peace, and cohesion in the federal Constituency, and to the fatherly guardians and counsel of Prince Lemmy Akakem (Okpataozuoha).
