His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State today assented and signed into law the Bill establishing the Imo State Geographic Information Systems services for the purpose of regulating land administration in Imo State.
The objective of the law, is the evaluation, and planning of the Imo State master plan for accurate surveying, allocation and improvement of land administration processes, increase transparency and reduction of corruption.
Services to be provided by the IGIS includes computerization of land records, aerial cadastral mapping and imaging, property search and verification of land records and revenue generation.
