Apparently many people have forgotten that the Nigerian constitution went to such a great length and effort to create an independent legislative branch.
But not so for His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State.
As a product of the apex legislative branch where he spent a meritorious eight years as a Distinguished Senator, and Chairman of strategic committees firstly of Aviation and then of Custom and Excise, Senator Hope Uzodimma as the Governor of Imo State has ethically, respectfully, and in absolute obedience to the constitution avoided executive unilateral actions, but instead have embarked and resorted to comprehensive consensus building and adherence to legislative backing to drive his Shared Prosperity Agenda for Imo State.
Governor Uzodimma has consistently sought for the consent of the Imo people though their representatives in the Imo State House of Assembly before engaging in any state policy or program.
So far, Governor Uzodimma in less than two years in office has recorded an astounding milestone with twenty two ( 22 ) Bills consented to and signed into law under his administration.
No Governor in the history of Imo State has achieved such a resounding and phenominal legislative footprint.
