Today, Saturday, the 26th day of June, 2021, the empowerment of 15,000 Imo youths with a whooping sum of Four Billion Naira (#4,000,000,000.00) shall be done. This remains unprecedented in the annals of IMO State history and governance.
Tongues are already wagging; people are pleasantly surprised and a new aura of practical humanity in the sharing of IMO Prosperity is all over the landscape of IMO and Nigeria at large.
But this is actually nothing compared with the prospects of better days of good governance ahead of IMO State. For the fact that IMO State is today blessed with a Governor who is so selfless; a man who feels the pains and anguish of poverty of the youths occasioned by many years of Government failures and inexplicably acute greediness is at the helms of affairs in the State.
*His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma is here in IMO State to return Government back to the people of IMO State. This is the crux of the 3R mantra.* This is yet the beginning of better days to come.
In the midst of the biting economic downtown occasioned by the just conquered or receding Covid-19 pandemic, with so much on its hands to meet up with the revolutionary infrastructure reconstruction, rehabilitation and recovery ( all simultaneously ongoing); this empowerment meant to stimulate the local economy and engender industry in the ever resourceful IMO youths is a watershed in Imo governance. It takes only a transparently selfless and prudent Governor in the present economic realities to achieve all that this Government has achieved in one year and six months.
With this financial empowerment added to the requisite entreprenural skills, the spiral effects in fair distribution of wealth - *the central gospel of SHARED PROSPERITY*, will be such that more Imo youths are prospectively beneficaries of the largesse.
*What is Government for if not for this sort of welfare scheme?*
