Protocols
"I welcome you all to this important event.
"As you may know, INEC has fixed the Anambra Governorship Elections for the 6th of November, 2021, therefore, the processes for selection of the flag bearer of our Party had started in earnest.
"Ndi Anambra are desirous of change. This was evident in the 2017 elections where our Party put up a spectacular performance.
"Another opportunity presents itself, and you have been called upon to lay the foundation for the process, hence this Screening Committee.
"There are about 14 aspirants that may appear before you.
"Our recent history has shown that the screening of Aspirants for Primaries is a fundamental exercise and the bedrock for every other activity in the series of events.
"The Supreme Court decision in Bayelsa State, i.e., PDP v DEGI & LYON, underscores the importance of having an eye for every tiny detail, which could prove very costly to the Party in due course.
"The Party has carefully assembled this Committee, with persons of intellectual capacity, competence and integrity.
"The National Chairman of this Party, H.E. (Hon) Mai Mala Buni reposes so much confidence in you, therefore, you cannot afford to let him down.
"This Anambra elections is so important to the Party, we must show transparency and inclusiveness in order to instill confidence in the participants and our Party men/women in Anambra and the country at large.
"The experience we had with the IMO NORTH SCREENING COMMITTEE wasn't a pleasant one. We pray that affliction shall not rise again.
"We wish you the very best in this important task".
