It was more of a home coming yesterday for Chief Dr George Moghalu, a former National Auditor of our great party, The All Progressives Congress APC, who is currently the Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), and a top contender for the APC Anambra Governorship Primary. Upon his entry to return his Nomination and Expression of interest Form, the National Secretariat erupted in cheers and jubilation on seeing one of their own.
Chief Dr George Moghalu while speaking at the Party Office during the submission said “It is time for APGA to leave the State” stating in his Igbo Language that #Anambra Ga adi mma ozo. meaning that Anambra will be great again.
Ohamadike Nnewi as he is popularly called said his decision to run for the office of the governor was a response to several calls by the people of the state to rescue Anambra State from maladministration, mismanagement of Funds, Infrastructural decay, and a host of other menace.
He said “Today is a landmark achievement towards our journey for collective consolidation aimed at rebuilding our state. It is also a recognition of APC’s commitment to due process with a view to satisfying the aspirations of the people of Anambra State,”.
As always, he reaffirmed that power belongs to God and he gives to whom ever he pleases. The aspirant encourages all interested persons to first present themselves to the party, and then to the people.
Reiterating his intention to serve, he said: “I am prepared physically, mentally and spiritually. I want to change the narrative in Anambra State.”
Chief Dr Moghalu explained that the time is ripe again for a power-shift in the state. He said people have lost confidence in the state government, adding that the gap between expectation and reality is huge.
Chief Dr George Moghalu was accompanied to the National Secretariat by Chairman of Moghalu Campaign Council, Chief Joe Offorkansi, Director-General of the Campaign Council, Chief Okey Chukwuogo, Hon Theo Nnorom, Chief Vincent Olilagu, Rev Chris Orajekwe, APC State Woman Leader, Chief Mrs Calista Nwachukwu, APC Welfare, Chief Mike Okeoma (Vibration), Chief Osita Anazodo, Rt Hon Jideofor Okoye, APC Chairman Nnewi North, Chief Tony Atuenyi, Ward Chairman APC Uruagu Ward 1, Chief Julian Okafor, Uruagu Ward 2 Chairman Hon Ifeanyi Ifeakandu, Uruagu Ward 3 Chairman, Chief Patrick odigbo, Members of Moghalu Youth and Women wings and numerous Supporters from Anambra State.
Highlights of the Visit is the presentation of the form to the National Secretary and the Admin Secretary of the Party and entertainment of Supporters and Wellwishers at Bolton White Hotel.
