DEMOCRACY DAY: IKEDURU IMC BOSS HIGH CHIEF TONY JUDE IWUAMADI SUES FOR PEACE AND PATIENCE

In celebration of Nigeria's Democracy Day, Ikeduru Local Government Interim Management Committee Chairman, High Chief Honourable Tony Jude Iwuamadi has sued for patience and peace from Nigerians arguing that Democracy is a "journey and not a destination".

Speaking through the Publisher of ikeduruapcmediahub.blogspot.com, High Chief Tony Jude asked Nigerians not to despair, but continue to contribute their own quota to the development of our democracy.

"Democracy is a journey, and as we have seen with the most developed nations, it is a process that never ends. Every critical national juncture is an opportunity to improve our democracy and for the past 22 years, our democracy has been improving bit by bit, and when we take this small changes cumulatively, we would see that there's a lot of improvements" he said.

Speaking on, he added that

"Democracy demands a lot of patience, persistence and responsibility. The followers ought to always eschew inducement and prejudices of any form to stand with a leader of their choice, while the leader must always seek the approval of the people in any governance decision he or she wishes to make. Democracy works on collaboration, mutual respect for everyone and the sanctity of the rights of every citizen".

Ikeduru IMC Boss celebrated the various heroes of the Nigerian democracy and asked that we emulate their tireless efforts in standing behind their convictions.

Finally, he congratulated His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, Distd Senator Hope Uzodimma administrations on their infrastructural strides to position Nigeria and indeed Imo state.
