The Chairman of Imo State Traditional Institutions and Community Policing and Traditional Ruler of Amaifeke Ancient Kingdom in Orlu Local government Area, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr Emmanuel C. Okeke, Ezeudo 11 of Amaifeke Ancient Kingdom has congratulated the Executive Governor of Imo State,Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma (Onwa Oyoko) on the auspicious occasion of 2021 Democracy Day Anniversary which he described as a huge success and memorable given the determination of the Governor to sustain a political culture of good governance driven by transparency, people oriented programs and fear of God in the discharge of his duties.
According to the billionaire construction giant turned Royal Father, this year's Democracy day celebration demands multiple commendations from the citizens for the State Governor alongside sober refections and attitudinal change of all and sundry towards collective involvement in the development process as initiated by Governor Hope Uzodimma which needs unwavering support and commitment to encourage the Governor to succeed.
The Imo Traditional Rulers' boss made the declaration penultimate Saturday at Mbari Palace of the Eze Imo in Owerri,Imo state Capital shortly after a Democracy Day lunch hosted at Government House Owerri, by the Executive Governor of Imo state for IMO leaders of different persuasions to commemorate this year's event. He said that the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has done well to have utilized the auspicious occasion of this year's Anniversary to bring IMO leaders of thought together and prayed that God will continue to provide him with the wisdom to steer the ship of the state, adding that the commemoration was worth it because the present administration in the state under Senator Uzodimma has renewed and restored the hope and faith of imo citizens in a participatory democracy through his development driven leadership.
On the journey so far since the emergence of Senator Hope Uzodimma as the Executive Governor of Imo State, the revered monarch of Amaifeke Ancient Kingdom said that the Governor has shown enormous capacity in delivering the proverbial democracy dividends, especially in the area of massive construction and rehabilitation of solid road infrastructure across the state which are being executed by reputable construction firms. He observed that over fourty six roads are being constructed and out of which more than twenty three have been completed and commissioned .He also appreciated the giant strides of the Governor in the areas of workers welfare through prompt payment of salaries,pensions and other incentives.
Eze Okeke commended the Governor for reactivating public water supply and vital social amenities that suffered a huge neglect in the last few years. He also revealed that the 3R Shared Prosperity government under Senator Hope Uzodimma takes the issue of security of lives and property seriously and eulogised him for being courageous and proactive in coming up with measures to halt the sudden spate of violence and insecurity that engulfed the state in last couple of weeks which according him has been brought under control due to the Governor's wisdom and foresight in handling the situation.
The Royal Father enjoined the Governor to continue with the good work he has started and remain focused and not be distracted .He urged imo citizens to join hands with the Governor to develop the state irrespective of party affiliation or one's geographical place of origin within the state, bearing in mind that Imo as their commonwealth deserves the support and commitment of everyone to make it better.
