In continuation of the stakeholders meeting with the Governor geared towards supporting the Shared Prosperity administration in sustenance of peace across the state, the good people of Owerri Municipal Local Government, yesterday paid a visit to His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma at Douglass House.
The delegation which was led by Rt. Hon. Ernest Ibejiakor, constituted of notable stakeholders of the LGA not just the political leaders but also the Traditional Rulers, the various community leadership, Traditional ruler of Hausa Community and Traditional ruler of Yoruba Community.
This provided opportunity for the people of the Local Government Area to interact with His Excellency on their peculiar needs. The leaders expressed unalloyed support to the Shared Prosperity administration and applauded His Excellency on the infrastructural developments across the state.
In the communique read by Hon. Barr. Willie Amadi, the leaders lampooned political leaders who glory in the underdevelopment. They further expressed appreciation of the prompt and firm intervention of His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma towards restoration of peace and pledged to support the administration to success across board.
The leaders of the delegation presented to the Governor an Acient seat, Acient bag and traditional staff encouraging him to sit tight as he drives Imo to the path of greatness again. By this, Governor Hope Uzodimma became the third Governor of Imo state that has received such from the hospitable people of Owerri Municipal Council after Ndubuisi Kalu and Sam Mbakwe.
His Excellency expressed gratitude to the delegation and acknowledged the importance of Owerri Municipal Local Government, being the capital of the state. He admonished the people to jettison fight and crisis but be united for the interest of Owerri Municipal Council and the state at large.
