In his condolence message his Excellency in an unequivocal manner fiercely condemned the unfortunate incident and vowed to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly act must be fished out and brought to book according to the laws of the land. He comisserated with the widow and the children the deceased left behind. The Governor there and then asked the family to forward to him before Sunday the cost of completing the building which the deceased was about to start before the unfortunate incident. He promised through his representative to complete the building in a record time where the deceased would at least lie in state. His Excellency promised to see to the education of the two children left behind from primary to tertiary level. They are aged 5 and 2 years respectively.
Responding on behalf of the family, the senior brother, Barrister Chris Opara thanked the Governor for alligning with them in their moment of grief. Another senior citizen Sir Gesford Akudinobi, who spoke on behalf of the community thanked the entourage for coming. He pointed out that they had planned a peaceful procession to Prince Charles Amadi'sv residence as a great leader in Ikeduru to register their anger but regretted that the visit has cut short their planned protest. He pointed out however that by this condolence visit, the Governor has once again demonstrated the fact that he is a humane and caring father of the State.
