The Managing Director, National Inland Waterway Authority (NIWA) and frontline contender for the APC Governorship Ticket, Chief Dr George Moghalu, on Sunday 6th June 2021, met with Nzukora Nnewi, the most powerful Nnewi General Assembly body at the Nnewi Youth League Hall.
Dr Moghalu was accompanied to the critical and crucial meeting by members of campaign team and supporters.
During the meeting the NIWA Boss thanked the good people of Nnewi for the great opportunity to be with them again and to roll out his experience in governance. He stated that he is the best for the seat and is seeking their support, encouragement and partnership on his gubernatorial ambition.
He said: "There is a word of difference between politics, administration and the struggle for power. Experience cannot be gotten from the roadside. It must be lived. I have demonstrated capacity and the ability to perform with the various public positions I have held.
"I am the first non-indigene who served up to the highest organ of government in a state that I am not from."

1997-1999, Executive Chairman Board of Trustees, Aba Flood Control and Road Rehabilitation Fund.
1999-2000, Chairman, Abia State Housing and Property Development Corporation.
2017-2019, Chairman Board of Directors, Nigeria Communication Satellite limited (NIGCOMSAT)
2019 till Date, Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
In NIWA today, Everybody is aware that 42 years after the creation of Onitsha river port, it was just last year that the first commercial batch container arrived onitsha port. I am also working very hard to make it a destination port as soon as possible.
It is on record also that i am one of the few politicians among the political class at my level that has not decamped to another political party. This shows my consistency in character and ability to stay and pursue what I believe.
Chief Dr Moghalu finally appealed to Ndi nnewi to demonstrate love and commitment to this governorship project and promised to never let them down.
Chief Agu Okonkwo thanked Ohamadike for the visit and praised him for his philanthropy and support to Ndi Nnewi and promised that ndi Nnewi are solidly behind him and asked God to bless and give him victory at his party primary and main election.
