A political heavy weight who contested Owerri zone Senatorial primaries in 2019 under the People's Democratic Party (PDP) from Ogwa in Mbaitoli LGA, Hon. Ugochukwu Harry Nwachukwu, who is popularly known as (Ugo-Sly) with some of his followers, today made his intention known to join the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the party office located @ Okigwe road.
Hon Ugochukwu Harry Nwachukwu (Ugo-Sly) with over 15,000 of his followers who are also members of People's Democratic Party (PDP) that cut accros Mbaitoli/Ikeduru and Owerri zone in general, were received at the party office by the Chairman of APC in the state, Barr. Marcon Nlemigbo (Ochiriozuo).
The state Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Imo state, Barr. Marcon Nlemigbo, while welcoming Hon. Ugochukwu Harry Nwachukwu and his followers to APC, the largest political party in Imo state and Nigeria at large, described Hon. Ugochukwu as his political son those days in People's Democratic Party (PDP)
Barr. Marcon Nlemigbo while expressing his overwhelming joy and happiness welcoming the new entrenched into APC family, further described Hon. Ugochukwu Harry Nwachukw as a humble man, an industrialist, a great mobilizer, reliable, a strategists and a politician who has a stake both in the state and at the national level.
Hon. Ugochukwu Harry Nwachukwu (Ugo-Sly) in his response expressed his uncontrollable joy been received by the members and leaders of (APC) in Owerri zone and also stated his readyness to associate himself with the progressives in the state.
He further stated that what prompted his intention to join the All Progressive Congress (APC) was the good works and massive infrastructural development going on in the state by the 3R shared Prosperity government of most Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma.
In continuation, Hon Ugochukwu expressed his appreciations to all the members of APC in his ward as well as leaders of APC in Owerri zone, who in one way or the other made this a reality.
Some political arrow heads and leaders of APC from Owerri zone were all present at the APC party office Okigwe road to witness this great occasion.
