In a bid to reposition the Agricultural Sector in Ngor Okpala LGA, the IMC Chairman of Ngor Okpala LGA, Hon. Chief Mayor Obinna Nweke has taken it as a point of duty to sponsor the training of Ngor Okpala indigenes on Cucumber Production.
It could be recalled that, an Ngor Okpala indigene by name Comr. Williams Ekeh who benefited from Governor Hope Uzodinma's farmer's fertilizer initiative programme and other agricultural assistance has developed his cucumber farm to a global standard and his cucumber has received a special recognition as Ngor Okpala Cucumber
Comr. Williams Ekeh has been holding seminars with the support of Ngor Okpala IMC Chairman, Chief Mayor Nweke and many Ngor Okpala people have been benefiting from Comr. William's Seminars on large scale Cucumber Farming/Production.
Today being 17th of July 2021, the IMC Chairman, Chief Nweke sponsored some Ngor Okpala indigenes for Comr. Ekeh's Seminar on Large Scale Cucumber Production at the Ngor Okpala Local Government Council Headquarters, Umuneke.
After the seminar, Some of the participants expressed their new experience as the best they have ever had and appreciated the IMC Chairman, Chief Mayor Nweke for the opportunity given to them.
Comr. Williams Ekeh used the opportunity to thank the IMC Chairman, Hon. Chief Mayor Obinna Nweke for his drive towards improving the Agric Sector through sponsorship of several Agricultural Programmes in the LGA. Also he appealed to the Chairman to empower those who participated on the programme by providing Spray Gallons, Paste Control Chemicals, Cucumber Seedlings, hoe and fertilizers.
Hon. Okuru Christopher who ably represented the IMC Chairman, Chief Mayor Nweke encouraged the Trainees to utilise the Agric Seminar experience by starting up their own Cucumber Farm to make Ngor Okpala LGA highest producer of Cucumber in the Nation. Hon. Okuru assured them that their message on Agriculture material Empowerment will definitely reach to the Chairman for further action.
