The Chapel situated right inside the Owerri Municipal Headquarters experienced yet again the Largest turnout of APC faithfuls , as the Municipal party body had their general meeting . The meeting was an avenue to take stock of the achievement of the party in the area of bringing new entrants into the APC family .
Speaking to the crowd that showed up for the meeting , the APC Chairman of Owerri Municipal , Hon. Onyekachi Ibezim thanked everyone for showing up though expressed that there's need to add more faithfuls to the fold looking at the numerical strength of people permanently resident in the Municipal . He added that the election year seems to be coming closer than expected, he then charged members especially the party executives not to rest on their oars .
The Municipal party Chairman used the opportunity of the meeting to inform members to exercise patience as the State party leadership lead by His Excellency and Governor of the state Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma who is also the leader of the party in the State through the state party chairman will give guidelines for the Congress .
He went further to expose to the hearing of those gathered that there's a growing rumor of some party leaders coopting alien individuals through the back door to serve as ward Executives . He said such planned gimmick will not work as only registered members of the APC who have bled overtime for the party will serve as ward Executives and delegates.
The Chairman went to charge members to be all out to work for the progress of the party . Take them party beyond their immediate environment and also be of good conduct even as they interact with intending members.
Finally , Hon. Onyekachi Ibezim used the opportunity to reiterate his commitment towards that 3R mantra and charged party faithfuls to continue to show solidarity , loyalty and commitment to the Shared Prosperity Government of Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma .
Those who were present at the meeting includes all members Of APC Owerri Municipal Apex Leadership , including IMC Council Chairman Chief. Ambrose Nkwodimmah and members other of the council. The Apex Leader of APC and GM IMO ENTRACO . Hon. MacDonald Ebere and other Government functionaries , including former SSA's to the Governor of Imo state were present at the meeting.
