The Interim Management Committee Chairman of Ikeduru LGA, Honorable Chief Tony Jude Iwuamadi, has applauded a group known as MBAIKE Sustainable Development Goals Agenda, for its efforts in community development. Mbaike Sustainable Development Goals Agenda is in partnership with African Indigenous Center For Sustainable Development Goals AIC4SDGS to achieve SDGS 3,4&6 which are Health and Well-being, Quality Education and Water Sanitation.
Addressing the group and the people of Ogada Atta at Ogada Primary School, Honorable Chief Tony Jude Iwuamadi, ably represented by Hon.Chika Uwakwe, the APC woman leader of Ikeduru LGA, thanked the Continental Speaker of Pan African Youth Parliament Ambassador Sixtus Obinna Nwoke, who doubles as the lead accelerator Mbaike SDGS for choosing to site the 4room ModernToilet Facility and a water borehole in the the School compound.( Community Primary School Ogada Atta ).
Honorable Chief Tony Jude added that when the project is completed, the facility will create good hygiene and Sanitation.
Earlier in his speech, the Lead Accelerator Ambassador Sixtus Nwoke, expressed appreciation to Mighty Princess Onyinyeomachukwu Chinyere Samuel Divine Hezekiah for accepting to sponsor the project through her foundation. He also used the opportunity to thank pioneer leaders of MBAIKE SDGs group for cueing into the purpose and vision.
He specifically thanked Hon Dr Uche Ted Oguike whose presence he is not taking for granted. He appreciated Sir Bon Unachukwu and Hon Okey Njoku for their support towards the flag off. He also expressed his appreciation for other leaders of Mbaike SDGS who have encouraged the bold initiative which according him will go round the communities in Mbaitoli and Ikeduru.
Hon.Sixtus who is a native of Ogada Atta enjoined people of the area to see the project as theirs, kick against vandalism and all forms of social vises which may hinder the completion of the project in due time.
Sixtus maintained that the project will be completed within 4weeks, he added.
In his part the Pro Chancellor of Hezekiah University Umudi in Nkwerre LGA, Hon. Victor Mere said the project is a relief to health hazards that causes loss of lives of rural dwellers and enjoined the group to extend the gesture to other LGAs in Owerri and Imo State at large.
Meanwhile the former Majority Leader Imo House of Assembly Hon.Uche Oguwike who doubles as the Executive Secretary of Mbaike SDGS said he is delighted to work with the group and see such project sited and completed in record time. He informed the people that such project will go round Mbaitoli and Ikeduru going by the efforts they are making to attract more sponsors.
In appreciation the Head Mistress of Ogada Atta Primary School, Mrs. Comfort Anyaeriuba thanked the group and the facilitator for remembering the rural dwellers as such the school lack such facility, she prayed that God will give them the enablement to complete the project in no distance time.
Highpoint of the event was foundation laying of the project which was flagged off by the Ikeduru LGA IMC Chairman Honorable Chief Tony Jude Iwuamadi and The Representative of Princess Hezekiah, Hon.Victor Mereh, the Lead Accelerator Ambassador Sixtus Nwoke , Former Majority Leader Imo House of Assembly Hon Uche Oguwuike amongst others..
