The Chairman of Ikeduru local government council of Imo State, High Chief Tony Jude Iwuamadi has assured the state governor Senator Hope Uzodinma that the people of the LGA would repeat the record they made when they voted massively for APC in the 2019 governorship election.
The council chairman gave this assurance when he received women who defected from the People's Democratic Party PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC at the council hall penultimate week.
Chief Iwuamadi while speaking at the reception of women who decamped from the PDP, APGA and AA stated that the people of the local government area would repeat the feat they achieved in the election of Senator Hope Uzodinma in 2019 in other future elections.
The council boss who praised the women for what he called "their wise decision" of coming over to the APC assured them that the party would carry them along.
He reminded them how the governor has performed well in rehabilitating, reconstructing and recovering the state within a period of one year, not minding the devastating economic effects of COVID-19 pandemic.
He described women as critical stake holders in politics and called on them to feel free in putting forward their advice as the shared prosperity government is a government that runs an open door policy.
The state women mobilizer Mrs Josephine Nnorom who inaugurated the ward women leaders and grassroots leaders assured them that the party would accommodate them in the scheme of things.
