The appointment of Hon. Prince Henry Okafor as the Special Adviser to Gov. Hope Uzodimma on Maritime Transportation, Waterways Security and Harbour Matters is the first of its kind and a product of creative idea that has blossom into an eagle watch on our waterways. This is contrary to the diversionary views held by many whom may have seen the creation of the office cum appointment as political - an erroneous impression that will later metamorphose into success story.
The Prince of the hydrocarbons on assumption of office understood the myriad of problems that has bedeviled our waterways and the numerous gains the State stands to benefit especially in the shared prosperity government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma, an administration that is so much driven with the passion to harness the resources of the state in order to bring uncommon development to the people.
Hon. Okafor undauntedly began to make moves that will materialize the vision of the present administration by engaging different stakeholders in the maritime sector and ensuring the safety of Imolites and their businesses which operates through the waters. An unrelenting effort that has continued to pave way for uncommon transformation.
Hon. Prince Okafor has again proven to worth his salt and being a man that walks the talk through his pioneer office has made a lifetime indelible mark by ensuring the Oguta Naval Base Project comes alive. A project with the site recently inspected by Gov. Hope Uzodimma and a high powered delegation from the Nigeria Naval Headquarters led by Rear Admiral Ezekobi Odogwu. This is a feat that has been greeted with so much admiration and commendation across the state.
The Ossemotor crowned Prince has demonstrated his passion to the work given to him by His Excellency Gov. Hope Uzodimma which speaks of so much passion and desire to see that the current administration succeeds especially in the maritime sector and this project no doubt is a curtain-raiser for more that is to come.
Gainsaying that barely 6months of his appointment, Prince Okafor has surpassed expectations and set an unattainable standard that only hardwork, zeal, courage, determination and passion can achieve and surprisingly with meager resources at his disposal.
It is therefore a plus for the shared prosperity government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma to have Hon. Prince Henry Okafor as a true believer and a proponent of the shared prosperity mantra and no doubt he will succeed till the very end.
