The 3R government continues to record giant strides as the reconstruction of Owerri / Okigwe road progresses. This over 60km Federal road connecting the capital city of Owerri and Okigwe had been badly damaged due to negligence and was abandoned to ruins.
With the attending hardship it created upon the residents and user, the economic growth of the area and by extension, to the state, was on the decline and livelihood degenerating. Commuters and other road users spending hours on the road for a journey of less than an hour; economic crops destroyed as travelers seek alternative routes from the communities along the road.
The Shared Prosperity administration of His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma awarded the contract to one of the numero uno in the construction industry and with speed and precision, the work has advanced in stage and upon completion, would alleviate the suffering which had hitherto engulfed the residents and commuters.
