In what looked like an impossible act today was a huge success as Amakohia Ward 1 and 2 of Ikeduru local govt. area of the All Progressives Congress (APC) IMO state Chapter conducted a successful ward Congress.
Party faithfuls in their hundreds turned out at Central School Owu Amakohia as early as 8am, the arena was very peaceful as everyone conducted themselves in an orderly manner.
The Publisher of ikeduruapcmediahub.blogspot.com, Don Martyn L O Nwosu who was present and a loyal member of the ward indicated an early turn out of party members to the center.
The ward Congress of the APC which held across the nation produced Mr Abara Cyprian who was declared winner as the ward Chairman having scored 104 votes and other ward Executives of the party and delegates to the LGA Congress.
Speaking to the publisher, the apex leader and another notable leader in the ward Dr Sir Tony Nkemakolam, Hon. Okey Ezurike expressed total satisfaction to the exercise and urged other 304 wards to emulate Amakohia ward Congress peaceful exercise.
Independent Electoral Commission observer Mr Chukwuemeka and the delegates sent to the ward for the conduct of the exercise by the party also praised the exercise and scored it satisfactorily.
