In line with Gov Hope Uzodinma's directives to ensure a democratic process on the conduct of APC Ward Congresses in Imo State, the exercise has been adjudged to be the best in the political records of Ward Congresses in the State.
The APC Elders Council, and Leadership of the All Progressives Congress Party in Ngor Okpala LGA extolled Gov Hope Uzodimma for achieving another mile stone in Imo APC with the conduct of a hitch-free, successful, free and fair Ward Congresses across the State.
While addressing Party Faithfuls at the LGA Party Office, Umuneke after the Ward Congresses in the LGA, the Leader of APC in Ngor Okpala, Chief Barr. George Eke thanked the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma for enabling internal democracy to strive in the Party. He applauded Gov Uzodinma for convening several meetings of critical stakeholders of the Party to give room for a participatory and all inclusive Party Congresses in the State. He blamed anyone who failed to abide by Gov. Uzodinma's democratic steps but rather choose to stop the Congress through the Court.
The Chairman of APC Elders Council, Ngor Okpala LGA, Chief Mass Opara expressed optimism that Gov Hope Uzodinma will Lead the Party to the promise land. He passed vote of confidence to Gov Uzodinma for conducting a peaceful and well organised APC Congress in Imo State, particularly in Ngor Okpala LGA
In the same vein, Barr Patrice Akwara described Gov Uzodinma as a true democrat, he also said Gov Uzodinma has saved the Party from unforseen future collapse by organising a credible Ward Congress in the State. Barr. Akwara thanked the Ngor Okpala IMC Chairman, Chief Mayor Nweke and Councillors for carrying every Party member along as they organized successful and democratically accepted Ward Congresses across the LGA.
The President, Ngor Okpala Patriots, Youth Wing, Comr. Emma Agbakwuru said the exercise in Ngor Okpala was one of the best as huge population of Party members turned up for the Congress.
The Assistant Electoral Officer, Independent National Electoral commission (INEC), Mr Vichus Ukwuoma who witnessed the exercise in Ngor Okpala said it was well organised and Party members comported themselves very well throughout the Congress.
The IMC Chairman, Hon. Chief Mayor Obinna Nweke while addressing Party members at Ngor Okpala APC Secretariat, Umuneke affirmed that the success of the Ward Congress was as a result of Gov Hope Uzodinma's goodwill and magnanimity to the Youths, Women and even the elderly as they have all benefited from his administration.
