HER EXCELLENCY, BARR (MRS.) CHIOMA UZODIMMA CELEBRATES WITH IMO WOMEN ON THE GRAND FINALE OF AUGUST MEETING 2021

 

Her Excellency, Barr (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodimma, yesterday, celebrated Imo Women in the 2021 Grand Finale of the Imo Women's August Meeting with the theme: "Nzuko umu nwanyi oma" amidst mamount crowd of Imo Women all over.

In her address to the women and people of Imo State, Her Excellency eulogised Imo Women for their relentness and steadfastness in championing the course for a better Imo State where peace and unity reigns. Recounting the fruits from last year's Grand Finale of the August Meeting, the Imo First Lady expressed happiness over the sustenance of economic empowerment that was extended to indigent women.

The occassion which was graced by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, presented opportunity for appreciating the 3R Government's commitment in supporting and promoting gender-balanced administration.

Her Excellency reeled out the empowerment scheme from the Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups through Office of the First Lady, Imo State as sponsored by private and corporate donors. Over 3000 indigent women across the state would be empowered with:

1. Package for 305 women from each ward.

2. Sewing Machines.

3. Motor Griding Machines.

4. Standing Hair Dryers.

5. Outdoor barbecue and grill equipment.

The Office of the First Lady, Imo State, would continue to work for an improved welfare on the path of Imo Women and girl child.
