ISOPADEC REFORMATION: WHEN HOPE SPEAKS, HIS WORDS MATCH HIS ACTIONS _By HON. B.T._ (Blaze Garden)

 

There is a saying that states " Action speaks louder than words". This imply that what you say should be backed by actions.

The people's Governor believes not only in speeches, but also in actions. 

Despite unfounded criticisms about his personality, Governor Hope Uzodimma has maintained persistence and unwavering support in delivering the dividends of democracy to Imolites.

It should be recalled that upon assumption of office, the Governor promised the citizenry of the Oil Producing Regions that he will refurbish the moribund state of ISOPADEC that was diverted into a  money changing avenue that paved the way for looting and embezzlement, before the inception of his regime.

Consequently, infrastructural deficit constituted nuisance to the 3R Government upon resumption of office. Hence, in a bid to judiciously manage the 13% oil derivative revenue of the Commission that emanates from the federation account, to develop the oil producing communities that have been neglected and shortchanged with dubious elephant projects in the past regimes, the Governor constituted an ISOPADEC Board and appointed seasoned caretakers on the saddle of the Commission.

Connecting the Governor's words with actions, just of recent Imo State Government released over thirty eight (38) landmark projects of  ISOPADEC - Construction of General Hospitals with the required facilities, which was initiated in phases starting from the host Communities in Ohaji/Egbema which are enumerated as follows; Obile, Umuapu, Umuokanne, Ihie, Assa, Abakuru, Obiti, Ekugba, Abacheke, Umunwaku, Mmahu, Obiakpu, Mgbirichi, Awara and Mgbara.

 On the other hand,  the good people of Oguta L.G.A feel the impact of these visible projects in the following communities; Izombe, Obijuju Akabor, Ezi-Orsu, Oguta, Obudi Agwa and Akiri. While their counterparts at Oru-East are not left behind schedule of these reforms at the following communities; Isieke in Awo-Omamma, Omuma, Urah, Okwuoji, Okwu Owerre, Ozuh, Amiri, Amagu and Akuma respectively.

 *The talk and do Governor* who match his words with actions has ordered the resource company -  PUMZ LIMITED to  ensure these welfare projects are completed within the stipulated time frame of six months,  backdated from the  award of the Contract.

Therefore, it entails that by December 2021, all the thirty eight (38) projects  are expected to be completed and installed for commissioning.
