In continuation of his ambition to re-contest, the member representing Ikwo/ Ezza South federal constituency, Hon. Chief Chinedu Ogah, OON, today Sunday, 10th of April, 2022 paid a consultation visit to the deputy governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Barr. Kelechi Eric Igwe, PhD, at the deputy governors lodge in Abakaliki.
Hon. Ogah praised the deputy governor for his unalloyed support to the governor of Ebonyi State, and also showed gratitude to the deputy governor especially how he has been representing Ikwo Local government area in entirety.
According to Hon. Ogah, the visit was to intimate the Deputy Governor on his political interest and his intention to re-contest as the member representing Ikwo/ Ezza-south federal constituency.
In their different speeches, Ogah's entourage told the deputy governor that they can affirm and testify that Hon. Ogah have performed and still performing even as a first timer at the National Assembly. They officially informed him that they deemed it necessary to inform him since he is the only number one citizen in Ikwo Local Government Area.
They listed Hon. Ogah's numerous achievements and success as a National Assembly member, they assured the deputy governor that Hon. Ogah has made the entire Ikwo proud by giving them sense of belonging and will do more when allowed to go for second tenure.
Reacting to them, the Deputy Governor wished everyone happy Easter in advance. He expressed satisfaction over the visit of Hon. Ogah. In his words, he said'
" I don't think that what you came for worth you bring all these before me but then even if I don't want to accept them, I accept them for the sake of Easter celebration in advance and in my own heart, I accept the gift items Hon. Ogah came with"
" As one who is under a boss in the person of His Excellency, Engr. Chief Dave Nweze Umahi, I will go to him and inform him about your mission. He is the one who has the final say. I have not received another person who came for consultation. He has done marvelously well that he deserves other opportunities" "He blessed Hon. Ogah and wished him well in his political career.
Some of the dignitaries that were present are; Chief Elder Idah Nwegede Idah, Prof. Amos Nworie, Prof. Anthony Itumo, Prof. Afiukwa, Prof. Otuma, Prof. Suleiman Ogah, Dr Ilang Donatus, Hon. Odunwa Moses, Hon. Chukwuma Ujebe, former Ezza South LG chairman and numerous others.
The items that accompanied the consultation visit were about 9 tubers of yam, a cow, two cartons of wine, pieces of wrapper.
