Uche Onyeagocha- For me his weakness is the obvious fact that we need bridge builders and not militancy at the Senate. Barrister Onyeagocha is confrontational and controversial in his approach to issues and that will definitely work against Imo and Owerri zone interest.

Senator Onyewuchi- It's an incontrovertible fact that Onyewuchi is not popular in Owerri zone due to the clear lack of manifest achievement in the past 12 years of his purposeless representation in the national assembly. As far as records can show, Onyewuchi has been dormant in the Senate, only supporting the opinion of the last speaker and monetizing contracts awarded to address issues in Owerri zone. It's also a fact that he has no functional Constituency office. His representation has at best empowered few with Hair dryers, wheel barrows, shovels and fridges. In comparison with what other Senators are doing elsewhere, one will come to the realization that Onyewuchi is a complete failure. In fact the only support Onyewuchi enjoys is not from the larger PDP members, but from Emeka Ihedioha and Mrs Kema Chikwe.

Jerry Chukwueke -  It's a natural political trajectory for aspirants to seek a platform to express their innate desire to serve their people or respond to a call to duty. From President Buhari, Atiku, Peter Obi, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Ohakim, Peter Obi to practically all the aspirants. The dynamics of politics have at all times led to aspirants been cheated out of their rightful position,  leaving them no choice but to seek another platform to achieve their dreams or respond to a call to duty. But the truth remains that he is the man the cap fits more in this dispensation.

He is a skillful mobilizer, pragmatic,  experienced, with an unmatched reach. He remains the only aspirant out there marketing and mobilizing Owerri zone for Hope Uzodinma and APC. His membership of Ohanaeze Ndi-igbo subcommittee on Youth and women empowerment, and member Imo Economic Development Initiative IEDI gives him an edge. He definitely stands a better chance.

Prince Alex Mbata- The Prince of Ngwoma  is relatively unknown in political circle, and has not publicly declared his interest to contest for the position of Senate. However, the only thing to his name is the empowerment he undertook not quite long ago.

Although it is a known fact that the foundation and subsequent empowerment was set up as an enabler to his entrance into politics. No doubt that's the only thing his cronies  readily points at. It is also a documented fact that he made a good chunk of his wealth through working with Rochas Okorocha and Uche Nwosu and it's for this reason he is doing everything humanly possible to be in the good books of government of Senator Hope Uzodinma. It is rumored that the reason he has not declared is because he is conserving money to buy all the delegates, while still waiting to receive assurances from the governor that he is the anointed candidate.

Yet people who know him well described him as elitist, proud, arrogant  and not accessible to people who are not by his assessment on the same social strata with him. Mbata's political strength in my humble assessment is limited to his Ngwoma community. I state without any fear of contradiction that for Prince Mbata to interface with the body of Owerri zone, he needs more political mentoring which will be beneficial in the future.

People of Owerri zone, in a nutshell, here are your aspirants, vote wisely
