I sincerely appeal for your support and endorsement to represent Owerri Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly (Federal House of Representatives) under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
My name is Sir Tochukwu Chinedum Okere from Amaorie Obibiezena in Owerri North LGA. I am 47 years old and happily married to Mrs Weruche Okere (Nee Odunze) from Mpama village in Egbu Autonomous Community of Owerri North LGA.
I acquired my primary education at Community Primary School Obibiezena and Abiodun Nursery / Primary School, Ajasse IPO Kwara State. I had my secondary education at Community Secondary School Obibiezena (now, John F. Kennedy Intl. Secondary School) and Government College Umuahia, Abia State.
I am a Second Class Upper graduate of Federal University of Technology Owerri where I studied Project Management Technology. I also took an MBA from the Lagos State University. I am a Fellow-elect of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Member, Nigerian Institute of Cost Management (NICM), Student Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
I am a staunch Christian via the Anglican communion and knight of Saint Christopher.
I have gained a total of 24 years working experience with 13 years in banking industry. I rose through the ranks in the banking industry and became a branch manager at an early age. I worked through different banks (Manny bank now Fidelity Bank, Diamond Bank now Access Bank, ETB now Sterling Bank, UBA, Mainstreet Bank) and I resigned as a Regional Director before embracing self employment. Today, my company Sharptowers Ltd is a Mega dealer with Multichoice Nigeria (Owners of Dstv, gotv etc) with over 11 offices and 30 affiliated branches. I am the Chairman, Board of Directors of Shago Payments Ltd (with Over 10,000 active P.O.S in Nigeria), I am also the Chairman, Board of Directors ShawercarePlus LTD (Dealer in NAFDAC approved herbal products from India), i occupy thr position of a Director in Pleasure Riders and Comfort Ltd (an E-hailing/Cab business), Financial consultant to many companies, etc. These investments worth billions of Naira are all verifiable.
I am the current Government appointed and Community Elected President General of Obibiezena Autonomous Community. The Treasurer of Owerri North and Owerri Federal Constituency PGs comprising of 33 wards/47 communities. I am a recipient of numerous awards from the Christian fold, Youth organizations, Communities and International bodies to celebrate my acts of philantropy. There is no gain saying that my Youth empowerment scheme and women support has touched a lot of lives.
I ran for the House of Assembly in 2018 which I won but was denied by the then governor of Imo State who chose to adopt candidates rather than allow the choice of the people. Afterwards, I supported our governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma with branded cars, t-shirts and caps aside the massive campaign. I have supported the party immensely in several ways including the N1m support for the zonal office just few days ago. I have also remained in APC from inception.
On the strength of the above submissions, I humbly present myself to you as an instrument to liberate our people from the shackles of bad and ineffective representation which has posed weak and imminent danger to our political growth in Owerri Federal Constituency. I resolve to offer myself in a bid to usher a new paradigm of representation anchored on competence, acceptability, meritocracy, accessibility, and effective representation based on your support and endorsement.
Upon your endorsement, I humbly offer myself to serve you. I am competent and possess the capacity to achieve the Owerri Federal Constituency of our collective dreams via effective representation in the House of Representatives and attraction of dividends of democracy from the Executive Arm of Government.
I desire to overcome the shortcomings and anchor on glorious achievements of our previous representatives of Owerri Federal Constituency if supported by you with novel ideas for the mutual benefits of Owerri Municipal/Owerri West/ Owerri North Local Government Areas. My focus shall be on effective legislation that will enhance Security, Health, Education, Employment, Women & Youth empowerment to mention but a few.
However, it's worthy to note that I can never achieve these feats without your mandate to fly the ticket of the APC and subsequent vote to represent you at the hallowed chamber of the National Assembly.
I therefore humbly appeal and passionately pray for your political support and endorsement throughout the process of electing our representatives in the Federal House of Representatives and afterwards!
