Good afternoon gentlemen and ladies of the press. On behalf of the State Coordinate Committee SCC led by my humble self Emeka Mega Okpara, the Local Government and Ward Coordinators and teeming members of APC WARD TO WARD AMBASSADORS across the 305 Wards in the 27 LGAs of Imo State I welcome you to this press parley holding today at the Imo Concord Hotel Owerri.
I especially welcome our National Coordinator and leader Dr Myke Ozurumba who travelled all the way from Abuja to join us, his beloved home Imo state chapter in this summit.
Let me also recognize the special presence of our State BOT *Chief Sir Obinna Chukwunyere ENYIKWONWA* on whose benevolence we have gathered here today on this Pre Campaign Summit organized to mobilize Ndi Imo WARD to WARD for the continuity of prosperity governance of APC at all levels in Imo State.
I give gallantry salute to our visionary governor His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, our gallant State Chairman, Sir Dr. Macdonald Ebere and members of the SWC of our great party.
To all leaders and teeming supporters of APC in IMO STATE we say: *LET US GO!*
We have gathered here on this press conference to reecho to Ndi Imo that:
The reward of Good work is continuous work.
Good governance is practical and not theory
We can see with our eyes the practicability of good governance in Imo State today.
Nobody is complaining of salary again because the APC government of Sentor Hope Uzodinma is committed to prompt and full payment of workers’ salaries.
Nobody is complaining of hold up again in OWERRI, ORLU and OKIGWE metropolis because the government of APC have shown capacity through the massive urban renewal projects.
For the first time in decades in Imo State you can drive a distance of over 50 kilometers without stepping on a single pothole like we have seen in OWERRI-ORLU ROAD and OWERRI-OKIGWE ROAD.
For the first time in decades Ndi Imo could see standard and quality infrastructures.
Our primary healthcare system is receiving massive attention through the steady renovation and re-equipment of all the health centers across all wards and rural communities.
The leadership capabilities of governor Hope Uzodinma led APC Government has brought and kept Imo State on the development priority list of the Federal Government in the areas of Infrastructure, agriculture education, healthcare etc.
For the first time, stakeholders are involved and carried along in the decision making processes of governance through the constant town hall meetings between the governor and the people.
We can go on and on with the near endless list, but what we want to say in a nutshell as we prepare to go to the trenches for the campaigns is that Ndi Imo have seen with their own eyes and would like to hear if there is anything the other Parties will do differently.
We call on all lovers of goodwill and the teeming supporters of APC in Imo State to brace up in defense of good and productive governance, by mobilizing to elect APC Candidates in the Senate, House of Representatives and the House of Assemblies general elections.
