All Progressives Congress Women Across the 36 States plus FCT have been hailed for a successful month. As National women Leader hails Nigerian women for the resilience and record breaking achievements last month even in the world of sport!
In a new month message released through her Special Adviser on political matters Ṣeun Osamaye, she appreciated party women across the country especially, the Wife of the President H.E Dr Aisha Buhari, the wife of APC Presidential Candidate Sen. Remi Tinubu, the leadership of the APC National women wing, Zonal and state women Leaders, female national assembly members , strategic female stakeholders and young women in APC for their untiring efforts at effective mobilisation towards the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the president of the country come 2023 and the success recorded so far.
She described the achievements of the last month as satisfactory, enjoined them to gird their loins and continue with the trend of massive mobilisation of women across board for the success of the APC and the presidential flag bearer at the polls in 2023.
A recap of activities of the APC National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu ably supported by the deputy National Women Leader, Hon Zainab Ibrahim includes the following and more.
*Mega medical outreach and empowerment program for women in Zamfara State where she received over 500 kwankwasiya women who defected from NNPP to the rulling APC.
*Financial and material supports to IDP's tunami camp
Along side the deputy National Women Leader, Hon Zainab Ibrahim and all APC zonal women leader, she played host to Chief Mrs Folashade Tinubu, the Iyaloja General at her Abuja residence. She also led APC women leaders and stakeholders to pay homage to Ooni of ife in his palace, seeking Ife women's supports for the re-election of his Excellency, Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, she provided financial support and empowerment for over 1000 Ife women and midwived a mega medical outreach for the widows and elderly in Ijebu ijesha of Oriade LG area of Osun State.
She led over 500 members of the APC National women wing on a congratulatory visit to the APC presidential candidate, his Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja
Graced a grand reception in her honour at Adadama ward of abi LGA of Cross River state, where she received over 20,000 defectors from PDP to the ruling party APC. Gave scholarship to every child in Adadama ward of Abi LG area of Cross River state and conducted free health outreach for over 3000 persons affected by communal clashes between Cross River and Ebonyi.
Supported by the deputy National Women Leader, Hon Zainab Ibrahim and Southwest Zonal women leader, Chief Mrs Yetunde Adesanya led a team on a condolence visit to the husband and family of late Hon. Mrs Kemi Nelson the immediate past southwest APC Zonal women leader.
Dr Edu Received the leadership of the Tinubu Support Organization (TSO) led by Hon Aminu Suleiman who emphasized it was his first time at the Secretariat and that he has come to appreciate the National women leader and encourage her to continue her good works.
Received the Innovation for Betta group led by their President, Mrs Ebere and their Secretary, Com Victoria Oko who paid a courtesy visit to her office. This is a support group that comprises of women of excellence in APC that promote and supports the APC National women leader.
Received over 500 market women of Abuja on a courtesy visit to her office ably led by iyaloja of FCT Chief Mrs Oluwatoyin Badmos.
Dr Betta Edu was honoured as an Ambassador of Young women in APC award at a one-day interactive session with the National Executives and state contacts Representatives of the Progressive Young Women Forum where she confirmed their appointment on a two year-tenure. At the event, she donated a sum of 10,000,000 Naira for mobilisation of young women for APC and APC Presidential Candidate tagged Operation Get 1000 women as canvassers per ward.
Other activities included the courtesy call of Colation for APC women support group to Nationals chairman of party, spoke at the Launch of Arewa women for Tinubu which had Sen Kashim shetima as Special awardee and guest of honour, launching and unveiling of APC Professional Women Forum amongst other activities centered at mobilizing women in APC!
