Ministry Of Trade And Investment: We Are Ready To Facilitate The Seamless And Smooth Transaction Of Businesses In Every Fronts

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite, represented by her Special Adviser on Political matters, Dame Ibifuro Tatua yesterday, Monday 25th of September, attended a Stakeholders Meeting with Dr Mrs Folashade Tinubu Ojo, Daughter of  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Iyaloja General of Nigerian Traders.

Speaking Extensively on the Role of Traders in the Country, Dr Mrs Folashade Tinubu Ojo, noted that the importance of traders in driving economic activities cannot be overemphasized and solicited for collaboration, cooperation and sharing of ideas in order for them to be a force to be reckoned with.

In her response, the representative of the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dame Ibifuro Tatua assured of the Ministry's readiness to facilitate the seamless and smooth transaction of businesses in every fronts in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration to diversify from oil as the main stay of the economy.

She described traders as integral part of Trade, Industry and Investment ministry and promised to Support and Protect the interest of Traders and Consumers in Nigeria, she noted that in no time policies will be rolled out to enhance the productivity of the traders and to make most of them exporters.

One of the Stakeholders, Mr Suleiman Danjuma hammered On the Need for Local Traders to look beyond the shores of Nigeria and Start exporting their Goods and Services to other African Countries and beyond too. 

The Meeting was  insightful and  afforded the traders an opportunity to discuss and also connect.

It is expected that with the passion exhibited by the Iyaloja General and the strong commitment by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment,the future truly looks good for traders and indeed the growth and sustainace of Small, Medium and large Scale Businesses in Nigeria will be accelerated further to create millions of jobs.
