WE ARE COMING OUT IN MASSES TO VOTE APC, HOPE HAS DONE WELL - Chief Emeka Ibe
There are strong indications from every quarters that the coming gubernatorial election in Imo State is tilting towards a landslide victory for the APC and Governor Hope Uzodimma in his re-election bid. These indications are from different angles as people are not ready to throw away the gains of the almost four years of good governance the state has enjoyed under the leadership of the governor. To many, Imo State and it people have not had it this better since the return to democracy in 1999. A rare opportunity they believe hardly come by. They believe it's in their jurisdiction to protect and consolidate on this positive change the state has been enjoying since APC took over the state.
It's in view of this that an elder in the state from Owerri West Local Government, Chief Emeka Ibe has reiterated the commitment of the elders in the state to work, mobilise and campaign for the re-election of Governor Hope Uzodimma in the November 11, 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.
According to the elder statesman, other candidates in the election are not known to the elders and so no need disturbing themselves in the coming election especially considering the fact that governor Hope Uzodimma has done a lot for the state. They have all failed to carry the elders along in their plans and manifestos for the people of the state in which only Governor Hope Uzodimma has been consistent in working hand in hand with the elders since his day one in office. This he said the elders have not taken for granted. He noted that he's ready to lead other elders and people from his local government, Owerri West on an aggressive campaign, sensitisation and mobilisation to showcase the good work the governor has done and also to actualise the HOPE '23 Agenda of the governor.
While addressing the good people and elders in his local government, Chief Emeka Ibe noted that Governor Hope Uzodimma is th
e central and rallying point of peace in the east noting that despite the activities of unknown gunmen and other social vices in the state, he has remain committed to ensuring peace not only in Imo but the entire southeast.
The elder statesman used the same occasion to to score Governor Hope Uzodimma high in the areas of infrastructural development, security, education, health, dividend of democracy and in area of welfare for the people especially the many good welfare packages the people of the state are benefiting from as palliative since the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government.
