Imo Assembly Member, Johnleoba embarks on settlement of electric bills for Ikeduru communities.
In line with his avowed promise to enhance the overall well-being of Ikeduru state constituents, Imo state house of assembly member representing Ikeduru , Hon Chief Johnleoba Iheoha has embarked on settlement of bills owed by the 29 autonomous communities of Ikeduru local government area.
Hon Johnleoba Iheoha in an interview with news men at the house of assembly building complex, Owerri, attributed his action and act of charity to the need to make life across the autonomous communities and grassroots level of the thickly populated Ikeduru LGA meaningful, comfortable and productive.
Johnleoba Iheoha who vowed to attract productive Industries to Ikeduru state Constituency, pointed out that the surest way to make Ikeduru LGA investors haven is by ensuring regular power supply. " One of the ways of ensuring regular power supply is by paying our electricity bills. This is why I decided to embark on the project of assisting the various communities in my Constituency with settlement of their electricity bills. I also want to ensure that small scale industries will survive in our communities and our youths can settle at the bossom of their villages to do one business or the other. We can achieve all these with regular power supply", Hon Iheoha stated.
Meanwhile, the lawmaker has so far, made available to EEDC, the power distribution company, the sum of N2.5 Million as payment for electricity bills for five communities in the area.
The communities include Oziri Inyishi, Umuoziri, Amaeke, Umuoti and Umuri Amaimo autonomous communities of Ikeduru LGA.
