In accordance with the biblical injunction to mankind in Romans  12:15, to "mourn with those who mourn", the Imo state government, condoles with the family of Amamasi of Obazu, Mbieri, in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state, who had the remains of their illustrious son, Chief (Dr) Darlington Ogbonna Amamasi, committed to mother earth today.

Gov. Hope Uzodimma, who was represented by his Deputy, Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, PhD, during his address after the funeral service, described the late Dr. Amamasi, as a good and merciful man, who impacted on the society through his profession and christian life.

"He lived a good life worthy of emulation. He was a good family man and that explains why he left a strong and wonderful family behind. We are so sad that we are losing a wonderful and respected generation who have immense commitment to the service of man, state and country. Let us try to copy and replicate the virtues they displayed while with us", the Governor said.

"What people will say about us when we are gone is as important as what we want to achieve in life. Therefore, we must strive to live a good life in order to earn a good name", the Governor added.

The Governor, however, went on to advise the family not to weep like those without hope. That, their father cared for people and treated everybody well. He prayed them to have consolation in the life their father lived and where he is seated now. (in the right hand of God)

Rt. Rev'd Chukwuma Oparah, the Bishop of Owerri Diocese, during the funeral sermon, emphasized on the life after death. He elucidated the reasons why the living must be of good character. That, after here, heaven or hell awaits.

Praying for the deceased family and congregation, Rt. Rev'd Geoffrey Okorafor of Egbu Diocese, asked God to console, comfort, teach, counsel, be with and answer the family at all times.

He also begged God to allow the family to anchor in him while equally interceded that God give their late father a place in his kingdom.

"May we not be caste out from your presence" the Bishop concluded.

Prominent among the dignitaries at the church service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Obazu were; His Excellency Chief (Barr) Chukwuma Ekomaru, SAN, who accompanied his wife - the Deputy Governor, the President General of Ohaneze ndi Igbo World Wide, Chief (Dr) Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiagamba ndi Igbo), Bishop of Ohaji Diocese, Rt. Rev'd. Chidi Collins Oparajiaku, Bishop of Ikeduru Diocese, Rt. Rev'd. Emmanuel Maduwuike and host of other Bishops, Clergies and Knights of the Anglican Communion. The

 Nigerian Bar Association, other groups and individuals, also gathered to say goodbye to the great physician.
