Sen Ifeanyi Ubah CON and the spirit of Igboism.
I was going through my archives and glanced on the brochure of service of Songs for our Late eternal Leader Dim Ikemba Odumegwu Ojukwu in London 2012. It was a moment of total reflection on the journey so far as Igbo man and my mind went straight to Sen Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah CON.
It was in November 2011 when Dim Ojukwu died in London and notable Igbo Leaders like HE Peter Obi, HE Rochas Okorocha, Sen Ifeanyi Ubah CON, Chief Martin Agbaso, Owelle Mbaso, Sen Victor Umeh, His Imperial Majesty Chief Austin Ndigwe and Chief Emeka Anyaoku assembled in London for a condolence visit to the wife of our late Leader HE Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu.
After the visit that I had a close door meeting with Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, HE Rochas and Sen Victor Umeh at Marriot Hotels, Maida Vale London on how to prepare for a farewell service for late Ikemba. Sen Ifeanyi Ubah being a man that loves his people, decided to finance the service of song. Which he did and over £30K was spent He made sure that our Late Leader got a befitting send off from the UK..
I always laugh in disbelief whenever I read from the foreigners piloting APGA and insulting Sen Ifeanyi Ubah, I weep for I know the sacrifices made by the great Ebube Chukwu Uzo Nnewi. The pictures said it all.He did all these in order to restore the dignity of the Igbo Nation.
I wrote this for the avoidance of doubt on the roles played by the incoming Governor of Anambra Sen Ifeanyi Ubah CON to the Igbo Nation. Finally I would like readers to stay tuned for the next episode on how Sen Ifeanyi helped APGA win the National Chairman tussle in 2013.
Most of these guys talking about APGA today including Governor Soludo were no where near to Ojukwu and APGA but today they are being more Catholic than the Pope. Time dictates things.
Ndigbo I am proud to tell us that Sen Ifeanyi Ubah CON is a special breed to Igbo Nation.
