Ordinarily, we wouldn’t have responded or given attention to this baseless and poor grammatically crafted article accusing Hon. Akarachi Amadi of neglecting his constituency, but it is essential to set the record straight with factual information.

Hon. Akarachi Amadi has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his constituency. Notably, he was the first to host his constituency for a legislative briefing and uniquely held a forum for his constituents on the constitution review, as mandated by Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kanu’s committee. His presence on the floor of the National Assembly is well-documented, where he has effectively represented Mbaike by introducing several bills and motions.

May we also recall that he was also the first to share palliative to his constituents when other constituencies made loud noise of not sighting theirs.

Looking ahead, Hon. Amadi has prioritized numerous mass projects slated to benefit every ward in the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency, commencing from August and continuing over the next year. These projects underscore his dedication to enhancing the quality of life for his constituents.

Moreover, it is important to acknowledge that everyone, including public servants, deserves time off. The National Assembly is currently in recess, which coincides with the timing of the article’s accusations. This context is crucial, as the article’s claims appear to stem from a place of mischief and political maneuvering rather than genuine concern for the constituency.

It is particularly troubling that the journalist, identified as Dan Opara, who is reportedly an aide to a state house of assembly member from Owerri West, has no direct connection to our constituency. His failure to adhere to basic journalistic standards, such as investigating and seeking information from our well-established federal constituency office, raises questions about his professionalism.

Verifiably, our office has set a standard with liaison officers representing each of the sister Local Government Areas, Mbaitoli and Ikeduru respectively. For Mbaitoli, Hon Ifeanyi Oguwuike is the Liaison officer, while Sir Ben Anochie is for Ikeduru and some other members of staff. This goes to say that the people of Mbaike have channels of communication and information flow.

Furthermore, Hon. Amadi stands out as the only house member with a dedicated constituency office, located at Km 4 Owerri-Okigwe Road. This facility is a testament to his commitment to accessibility and transparency. One would have expected a reasonable and professional journalist to confirm his news here than spewing jargons based on hear say.

Let’s reassure you that Hon. Amadi’s efforts and dedication to Mbaitoli/Ikeduru remain unwavering. We will continue to strive for excellence in representation and the provision of essential amenities for our constituents.
