 THE LAGOS DAY OF TRIBUTE IN HONOR OF CHIEF ENGR. EC IWUANYANWU. THE PG OHANAEZE NDIGBO WORLDWIDE 





On the 16th of October, 2024, at the Expo Convention Center, EKO HOTELS, VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS the traditional royalty, the political class in Nigeria and captains of industry paid their last respect and bid farewell to an iconic personality and elder statesman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu Ahaejiagamba. The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide. 







Speaking to the press at the auspicious occasion, Chief Jerry Chukwueke (the mobilizer), the deputy chairman of LAGOS DAY OF TRIBUTE LOC, and the chairman of fundraising initiatives used the opportunity to express his heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, guest, and well wishers who honored the day with their presence, notably the host governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, former governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Oshoba, Obas in and around Lagos, the leadership of Afenifere, members of the Middle Belt Forum, Sir. Emeka Anyaoku, the former secretary General of the Commonwealth, and Chief Senator Ben Obi (Ojereigbo), the central burial committee chairman, among others. Chief Chukwueke also expressed his sincere appreciation to the executive governor of IMO state Senator Hope Uzodinma for his immense financial and leadership support towards the success of the event. These overwhelming support and generosity, Chief Chukwueke said, have left an indelible mark in our hearts, he concluded. 


The great mobilizer further said that the Lagos Organizing committee sincerely appreciates the significant financial contributions received from esteemed individuals and organizations. He further said that "the kindness of donors enabled the committee to deliver a befitting tribute to our beloved leader." He went on to say that "the massive turnouts of invited guests, despite short notice, demonstrates the high esteem in which Chief Iwuanyanwu was held. Your presence, he said, was a testament to his enduring legacy and impact. "


"Chief Iwuanyanwu's dedication to Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Nigeria's progress will forever be remembered. May his selflessness inspire future generations, "he said. 


Once again, thank you for your unwavering support. Together, we honored an extraordinary life. Chief Jerry Chukwueke concluded.
